“…I began to understand that ‘dog’ was its own category of ‘love.’ Sometimes you just need to hold and kiss a member of the dog species. Even when humans are available.”
- Julia Klam, You Had Me at Woof
I just finished this amazing read and I thought it was hilarious! I have often wondered if I will one day have what it takes to participate in a dog rescue group and reading this book is like having a long conversation with Julia Klam where she holds nothing back and sugarcoats absolutely nothing about the daunting adventure that is rescue.

Rescue is a learning experience I really enjoyed it!
My family and I have participated in a caravan to get a doggie to her forever home but that’s the extent of my participation in rescue. It seems so rewarding though. I know I love my doggie I got through a rescue called Flying K9 rescue! :)
woof
Woof woof! I hope I didn’t just say something wrong, I don’t speak dog fluently yet.
